The Entry Process

Can I log in with my existing Architizer username & password?
Please use your Architizer login credentials to access your Vision Awards account. Click here to login or create an Architizer account.

What assets do I need to enter the Vision Awards?
Below is a list of everything you will need to submit to the Vision Awards.
Entrant details (name, contact information, URL)

Vision Categories:- Single image (jpeg or png file; 20mb max) or video (mpg, flv or mp4 file; 300mb max)
- Image or Video Description (150 word maximum)
- Up to 12 images (jpeg or png file; 20mb max per file) and/or up to 6 videos (mpg, flv or mp4 file; 300mb max per file)
- Creator Statement (300 word maximum)

Can I withdraw my entry? Will I get a refund?
You may withdraw your entry by emailing visionawards@architizer.com. Refunds WILL be issued for entries that are withdrawn within 48hrs of being submitted. Refunds WILL NOT be issued for entries withdrawn after 48hrs of being submitted.

How can I be sure you have received my entry?
You will see a confirmation page noting your entry number and will also receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your entry. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24hrs, please email visionawards@architizer.com.

How can I change my entry?
The following information can be changed on an entry any time prior to the close of the call for entry period.

Do you have to be based in the United States to participate?
No. The Architizer Vision Awards is a global awards program.

Does the entry description need to be in English?
Yes. In order to ensure our judges are able to review and score your work we require your descriptions to be submitted in English.

Which category should I enter?
The Architizer Vision Awards has over 40 categories broken up into Vision Categories and Creator Categories. The Vision Categories celebrate every aspect of architectural representation, from early sketches and conceptual renderings to photographs and videos of a built project, as well as awards for physical models. The Creator Categories honor the achievements of talented creators across every discipline listed above, forming a definitive "who's who" of visionaries for the AEC industry.
There is no limit to how many works you can submit or the number of categories you can enter, and it is possible to win multiple times. The Architizer Vision Awards reserves the right to move entries to other categories if it is clearly appropriate to do so. If this is the case, you will be notified by email.

Can I enter more than one category?
Yes. There is no limit to how many works can be submitted or how many categories you can enter, and it is possible to win multiple times. The higher number of entries submitted, the better your chances to win!

I just graduated. Can I enter as a Student?
Yes — Class of 2023 students that just graduated or are about to graduate can enter as Students. Please use your student email address as this will help us verify your status with your University in the event that you are selected as a Winner. For 2022 graduates with financial constraints, exceptions may be made on a case by case basis — reach out to visionawards@architizer.com for more information.

Is judging anonymous?
No. The entrant’s identity will be visible to jurors during judging.

What file types can I submit?

Can I submit images or videos created with AI?
Yes, you can submit AI creations in the AI-assisted Rendering category. While AI can mimic many forms of visualization, we view it as a separate craft and have created the AI-assisted Rendering category for this purpose.

Who is on the Architizer Vision Awards jury?
The Vision Awards Jury comprises practitioners and thought leaders from the worlds of architecture, design, technology and film, each with a special connection to visualizing our built environment. The jury includes leaders who are actively bringing architecture to the public today, both online and in the built environment. For entrants and winners, this is an opportunity to get your work in front of people who are shaping how the world engages with architecture — now and in the future. Click here to see the full jury.

Is it possible to receive the judges rating and/or comments for my work?
Unfortunately due to the high volume of entries, the Architizer Vision Awards cannot offer individual comments to its entrants. Select quotes from jurors will be included in editorial coverage for notable entries.

When will winners be announced?
Winners will be announced in early September 2023.
Winning an Award

How many entrants win Vision Awards?
The Jury will select a shortlist of finalists which represent the best entries in each category. For each of the Vision Categories, three (3) winners will be selected — one Student, one Professional, and one Studio entrant. For each of the Creator Categories, one overall winner will be selected. There will also be a number of Special Mentions, selected by Architizer’s editorial team, given to images and videos that are not honored by the Jury in their respective categories but deserve recognition.

Do you hold an event?
Due to the global nature of the program, Architizer does not host a worldwide awards event. Speaking events, networking opportunities and editorial spotlights will be made available to select winners. Winners from around the globe can celebrate their achievements online and in the media, alongside Architizer’s vast international community. Finalists and Winners will be notified of in-person awards celebrations as they are scheduled.

Can I rent the list of Architizer Vision Awards entrants or winners?
No. We do not rent or sell our entrant or winner lists.

Publication Inclusion
Architizer reserves the right to edit materials provided by entrants for inclusion in Visions of Architecture anthology. Entrants will be notified regarding their materials and participation prior to publication.
