Eligibility

The Awards is open to those who sign up at visionawards.architizer.com (the “Awards Website”) and are at least 18 years of age as of the date of entry (each a “Participant”). The Awards is open to legal residents of any country worldwide, except for any country or territory that is subject to comprehensive sanctions by the United States. The Awards is void where prohibited by law.

Employees (and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household) of Architizer or any of its sponsors or other companies associated with the promotion of the Awards, and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, are not eligible to participate in the Awards.

How to Enter

The Awards must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided on the Awards Website. Participants must accurately complete all required fields. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

Participants can submit multiple entries. Participants can be comprised of individuals or teams of up to four (4) people.

Awards Categories

See all the available categories on the Vision Awards category page. Vision Awards categories are subject to change. New categories may be added during the program. Existing categories may be removed or combined at the sole discretion of Architizer. If your category is removed you will be given the chance to submit your entry to an alternate category.

Submission Format

The required submission format depends on the Category Type.

• For Vision Categories, the required submission format is to submit Single image (jpeg or png file; 20mb max) or video (mpg, flv or mp4 file; 300mb max) with an accompanying description of up to 150 words.
• For Creator Categories, the required submission format is to submit up to 12 images (jpeg or png file; 20mb max per file) and/or up to 6 videos (mpg, flv or mp4 file; 300mb max per file) with an accompanying creator statement of up to 300 words.

The entry must meet all Awards requirements and the Rules to be eligible to win a prize. Incomplete entries or entries that do not comply with the Rules, or meet the requirements and specifications set forth in the Rules will be disqualified. Participants can submit multiple entries. Any attempt to circumvent any of the Rules will result in immediate disqualification from the Awards.

Awards Period - start and end date

The Awards period start and end dates (the “Awards Period”), as well as entry deadlines, and winner announcement dates are published on the Vision Awards About Page. Entries that are submitted before or after the Awards Period will be disqualified.

Original Content; Ownership

By participating in the Awards, each Participant represents and warrants that they are the exclusive owner of the copyright and all other proprietary rights in any and all materials and content submitted by the Participant to enter the Awards. The Participant further certifies and guarantees that they have the right to grant to any third party the right to use, reproduce, distribute, perform and display any photo, text, and/or other content or materials submitted as part of the entry. All entries must have appropriate clearances, permissions and releases PRIOR to uploading to the Awards Website. Any unauthorized use or submission of a third party’s content or materials could be subject to fines, royalty fees, and/or legal action for which the Participant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold Architizer and its corporate affiliates harmless. Any entry that violates this provision will be disqualified.

Disclaimer of Responsibility

Architizer is not responsible for any problems with Awards entries, including but not limited to, entries which are lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or cannot be completed due to electronic or technical difficulties, even if the problem is the result of the sole or partial negligence of Architizer.

Rights Granted by Awards Participants

By entering the Awards and submitting your entry (including photo, text, etc.), the Participant understands and agrees that Architizer and its corporate affiliates and/or anyone acting on behalf of Architizer or its corporate affiliates has the right to use any submitted content (including without limitation, photos, text, etc.) and any personal information in connection with such submitted content for any purpose (including any promotional purposes) without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.

Prizes and Selection of Winners

Winners of the Awards (hereinafter, each a “Winner” and collectively, “Winners”) will receive prizes as determined by Architizer. The prize cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for another prize, and is non-transferable. Prize-related expenses including all federal, state, and local taxes are the sole financial responsibility of the Winner. The prize is given with no written, express, or implied warranty. Any prize not claimed within 7 days will be forfeited by the Winner and remain the property of Architizer. Acceptance of the prize gives Architizer permission to use the Winner’s personal details and photo for advertising purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Each winning entrant will receive a complimentary copy of the Visions of Architecture anthology. Winners will also receive:

• Inclusion in the Official Winners' Gallery, Winners' Announcement and custom coverage on Architizer.com, shared with hundreds of thousands of readers via our newsletter.
• Digital Winners' Certificate, badges and other custom assets to promote and celebrate your achievement on your website, emails and social channels.
• Social Media Spotlight alongside other prestigious Vision Awards Winners, including publication on Architizer's Facebook (1.8M followers), Twitter (1.2M) and Instagram (1.5M). ¹
• Unique opportunities to get your work in front of media outlets, architectural thought leaders and renowned industry tastemakers on our stellar jury.
• Exclusive access to an influential network of creative collaborators. Winners and Commended Entrants will gain access to an invite-only Vision Awards LinkedIn Group.

All federal, state, and other tax liabilities arising from the Awards are the sole responsibility of the Winner. US Winners may be subject to withholding taxes. International winners must file a W-8BEN form to collect their prize.

Selection of Winners

Winners will be selected by a panel of Jurors using specific judging criteria under the supervision of Architizer (hereinafter the “Awards Jury”). The Awards Jury is comprised of practitioners and thought leaders from the worlds of architecture, design and technology, each with a special connection to architectural visualization. Submissions to the Vision Categories will be judged by the Awards Jury online according to three key criteria: Communication, Aesthetics and Impact. Submissions to the Creator Categories will be judged by the Awards Jury online according to three key criteria: Aesthetics, Innovation and Impact. Definitions of these terms can be found on the judging criteria page.

Winner Notification

Winners will be informed within 5 days following the Winner selection and must claim their prize within 30 days of the Winner selection. Architizer is not responsible if the Winner fails to receive the notice about the prize due to any security settings or provision of incorrect contact information or any other technical issue. If the Winner fails to respond within the required time period, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected. If the Winner is considered a minor in their place of residence, Architizer reserves the right to place the prize in the name of the Winner’s parent or legal guardian who will be requested to sign the Declaration of Claim on the Winner’s behalf. Acceptance of the prize given in the Awards is in accordance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. If the Winner is disqualified for any reason, Architizer is not obliged to provide an alternate prize or extend the Award Period in any way, and all privileges of the disqualified Winner will be terminated immediately. Participants who provide false, fraudulent or deceptive entries or who engage in false, fraudulent or deceptive acts in connection with the Awards will be disqualified and may be subject to criminal prosecution.

How to Claim the Prize

All prizes will be fulfilled by mail. Winners assume the risk of the prize’s safe arrival by mail. Winners are required to provide (1) a valid government-issued photo identification depicting their proof of age and (2) a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number. For US based Winners, their social security number will be used for tax-reporting purposes. International winners must fill out a W-8 BEN to “certify” the country they live in and to confirm they are not resident in the United States. Architizer reserves the right to deny awarding the prize if the Winner fails to provide satisfactory identification or verification.

General Terms and Conditions

Architizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Awards. Any attempt by a Participant to deliberately damage the Winner selection process and the legitimate operation of the Awards may be a violation of criminal and civil laws.

Release; Limitations Of Liability; and Indemnification

BY PARTICIPATING IN THE AWARDS, EACH PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT ARCHITIZER, ITS CORPORATE AFFILIATES, AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVES, CONSULTANTS, CONTRACTORS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, LEGAL COUNSEL AND AGENTS (THE “RELEASED ENTITIES”), WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY INJURIES, DAMAGES, OR LOSSES (DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE) TO PARTICIPANT. THE RELEASED ENTITIES SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFIED BY THE PARTICIPANT AGAINST ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, TO ANY THIRD PARTY, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, OR DAMAGE OR LOSS TO PROPERTY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE PARTICIPANT’S SUBMISSION OR PARTICIPATION IN THE AWARDS OR IN ANY AWARDS-RELATED ACTIVITY, OR ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE, OR ANY CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION OR INVASION OF PRIVACY OR INFRINGEMENT OF COPYRIGHTS RELATING TO THE AWARDS OR A PARTICIPANT’S SUBMISSION OR ANY BREACH OF PARTICIPANT’S REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES MADE HEREIN. IN ADDITION, THE RELEASED ENTITIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THE AWARDS CANNOT BE COMPLETED DUE TO ANY TECHNOLOGICAL ISSUE, ACTS OF GOD, ACTS OF WAR, NATURAL DISASTERS, PANDEMICS, WEATHER, BANKRUPTCY OR TERRORISM.

Disputes and Arbitration

THE AWARDs IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND NEW YORK STATE, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES.
As a condition of participating in the Awards, the Participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Awards, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in New York having jurisdiction.

Sponsors of the Awards include Architizer and any sponsors listed on the Vision Awards About Page.

Social Media

Architizer may utilize multiple social outlets to promote the Awards including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others. The Participant understands and agrees that any such promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, these social media outlets.

By entering the Awards, you, the Participant, has reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the Rules.
